The mission of PACE, INC and Dr. Timothy Sams is to provide the highest quality bio-behavioral care for people suffering from chronically painful medical conditions. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the information, support, and encouragement needed to survive and even thrive with the greatest stressor of all - chronic pain.
Tim Sams, Ph.D. is a University of Michigan graduate (Go Blue!) with 30 years of clinical experience as a rehabilitation and pain psychologist. He is the author of ABC's of Pain Relief and Treatment: Advances, Breakthroughs and Choices. He has been on staff at several universities and trained medical residents and fellows as a clinical faculty member at the University of California - Irvine. He is a frequent lecturer at rehabilitation and pain conferences. He works closely with spinal surgeons, pain physicians, and manufacturers' representatives to remove the barriers to SCS trial and implant. With a post-doctoral Master's in Clinical Psychopharmacology, he can help physicians manage commonly prescribed pain and psychotropic medications.
Fay Enshaian is a Biofeedback Therapist with over 30 years experience in treating painful medical conditions. She has taught biofeedback to Behavioral Medicine residents and fellows and worked in inpatient psychiatric facilities. She received her B.A. in psychology and her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope University. As an MFT intern, she provides longer term psychotherapy for our patients who need ongoing care.
Melissa Barrow is our office manager and as such manages the day to day activities of the practice. She is our liaison with physician offices. She coordinates the initial physician referrals and schedules appointments.
